The stock Modern High Gain module is inspired by the response of a JCM800-style amplifier, moving from classic-rock drive to saturated modern distortion.
DRIVE INTO DISTORTION

Engage both independent circuits to push the distortion harder, increase sustain, and create a larger lead sound without giving up articulation.

The distortion circuit includes a Baxandall-style active EQ with ±20dB of adjustment per band. The middle frequency is centered around 660Hz, and all three bands are flat at noon.
PRES Presence control Global brightness and response +
PRES acts as an overall distortion tone control. Higher settings increase brightness and gain, making it useful when adjusting the pedal for different amplifiers and rooms.
